Heathrow Airport is located in London, is not only the largest and busiest Airport in the United kingdom but also holds the title of the busiest Airport in Europe and ranks seventh globally in terms of passenger traffic. Around 80 airlines operating from London Heathrow connect travelers to more than 180 destinations worldwide. Heathrow Airport was established in the year 1929.
An Airport can serve both commercial and cargo purposes. Reliver Airports, designated by the FFA, help elleviate congection at commercial airports and enhance general aviation accessibility for the broader community. Over the next decade, the airport experienced significant growth in traffic but it wasn’t until the mid 1950s that permanent terminals were finally constructed. Terminal 1, initially called Britanic and later renamed Terminal 2 ( which has been recently demolished and rebuilt), and Terminal 2, originally named oceanic and later become Terminal 3, continued in this configuration until 1969 when a new Terminal was introduced. This renamed the status quo until Terminal 4 was inaugurated in 1986, situated on the southern perimeter.
